ITC Error Message at Login Explained

Overview

When error message "You are not an authorized or active transcriptionist" appears when trying to login to the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) there are two likely reasons.  In order to login to the ITC a user must exist on the platform, AND:

  • They must have the Transcriptionist Role (checkbox) selected in their user properties.
  • They must have an ITC license assigned to them.

Tasks

To assign a user the Transcriptionist role, in the IMC, select the checkbox next to "Transcriptionist" under "Account Roles" on the user settings page.

To assign an ITC license to an MT, in the IMC, on the Transcriptionist settings page, click the "Assign License" link under the "Licensing" option.
