The fall conference schedule continues to move along with momentum. I have accepted an invitation to speak on the Health Story Project, speech recognition editing and natural language processing (NLP) by the Carolinas Regional AHDI (CRAHDI) association next Saturday, Oct 9th. I'll be flying down on Friday afternoon to meet Linda Nabors who will be driving down from our NC office. We intend to arrive in time for the Friday evening welcome reception. On Saturday, we want to meet with a local InfraWare MTSO for lunch and then presentation is at 2:45. I'll be flying home late Sat evening to get some family time. (Hoping to fly the company Bonanza, but it is in the maintenance shop for its annual inspection right now. If it isn't ready by Friday, I'll need to rent an airplane.)
The topics for this presentation are among my favorite to speak about right now. Our industry simply must lead the way in both delivering structured data to support meaningful use and in pulling cost our of the health documention process.
